Aaron Newman
CloudCheckr, Founder
Career Highlights
Led four companies from concept to acquisition - CloudCheckr, DbSecure, Techrigy, Appsec
Managed teams of up to 150 people
FaILURES
At Appsec, we missed several chances to sell this company for many times what it was worth. Our investors forced us not to sell and, in the end, we missed the boat and were forced to sell for about the same amount of money we raised. On the outside, it may have looked like a success but it was more of a learning experience in timing and greed
CloudCheckr had close to a dozen M&A deals that didn’t pan. Each time the M&A process fell through, we had a chance to grow more and our valuation increased. This consistent failure ultimately led to our success as the final M&A deal that succeed was our highest offer
