Start and End time

• Event start time: 12:00PM, Monday, June 2nd

  • Registration is available Sunday June 1st and Monday June 2nd starting at 8:00AM

  • There will be a group breakfast (9AM) Monday morning for all guests who arrive early

• End time: 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 4th (closing session ends at 12:50PM, then lunch)

• We cannot guarantee early check-in, but the resort will do its best to turn over rooms to get folks in as soon as possible

• Please arrive dressed and ready to attend the summit as guests will go directly to lunch

Suggested Arrival Flights on June 2nd to ROC (closest airport), SYR and BUF - Shuttles available for these flights on Monday

• From BOS to ROC: American Airlines 5847 departing BOS at 8:25AM and arriving to ROC at 9:59AM

• From JFK to ROC: Delta 5341 departing JFK at 9:11AM and arriving to ROC at 10:40AM

• From EWR to SYR: United 3556 from EWR departing at 9:00AM and arriving to SYR at 10:18AM 

• From LGA: Delta 5340 from LGA departing at 10:00AM and arriving to ROC at 11:27AM

• From LAX to BUF: We suggest flying in Sunday so you don’t need to take a red eye. There is a direct Jet Blue Flight (492) from LAX to BUF (Buffalo) departing at 2:10PM and arriving at 10:00PM

• From SFO to ROC: We suggest flying in Sunday June 1st to avoid a red eye. There are numerous flights from SFO to ROC on various airlines

• All other airports: There are direct flights between ROC to Chicago, Orlando, Atlanta and Las Vegas. There are direct flights between BUF and Dallas, Ft Lauderdale, Denver. We suggest flying in Sunday if you’re coming from anywhere other than NY or Boston

Suggested Departure Flights on June 4th (all from ROC except to LAX) - Shuttles available for these flights

• BOS: American Airlines 5891 departing ROC at 4:19PM and arriving Boston at 5:41PM

• JFK: Delta 5289 departing ROC at 5:26PM and arriving JFK at 7:00PM

• EWR: United 3599 departing ROC at 2:41PM and arriving EWR at 3:59PM

• LGA: Delta 5343 departing ROC at 7:41PM and arriving LGA at 9:00PM OR Delta 5464 departing SYR at 5:00PM and arriving LGA at 6:14PM

• LAX and SFO: Variety of flights all day from ROC after 3PM

Venue

• All guests will be staying at The Lake House on Canandaigua (main hotel) or Hotel Canandaigua by Hilton. Unless you were specifically emailed that you will be at the Hotel Canandaigua, you can assume you are at the Lake House.

Early Arrivals / Departures / Extra nights

We have negotiated a special rate for any guests that want to arrive a day or two early on May 31st or June 1st or stay a day late on June 4th for a rate of $414.27 inclusive of taxes per night. Any additional days will be at your own expense but we hope you have an opportunity to stay longer and enjoy the resort and beautiful surroundings. Please indicate your interest in additional nights on the survey and you can pay on-site. Please do not book directly with the hotel; if you want any additional nights please email us and we’ll handle the booking as everything is through our room block.

Check-in / Check-out

Check-in: 3 PM
Check-out: 11 AM (all luggage is to be left in the Naples room by 11am on departure date)
We will do our best to ask for early check-in and late check-out where possible.

Costs

The Finger Lakes Summit with be providing meals, activities, group shuttles at designated times and accommodations for the nights of June 2nd and 3rd and all listed events on the agenda. All incidental charges (laundry, room service, spa, etc.) will be at your own expense. A credit card will be taken at check-in.

Parking

If you are planning to drive, free parking is available at the hotel for the duration of your stay. Electric chargers are also available.

Airport Transfers

If you were assigned car service or a shuttle, you should have been emailed confirmation on May 30th. Group shuttles will be available on June 2nd for any arrivals whose plane lands before 11:30AM and on June 4th for any flights departing after 2:30PM.

If you arrive outside of these times, you will be responsible for your own transport and we encourage you to use Uber or Lyft from the Rochester or Syracuse airport on your arrival and Turner black car service (917-370-3933) for your return flight from the Lake House as ride-hailing is not always reliable in Canandaigua (at your own expense).

Private Planes

The Canandaigua Airport (KIUA) is the nearest airport for private planes. It is a ~10-minute drive to The Lake House. Please notify us the week before the event of your arrival time and we’ll send a car or the hotel’s shuttle – fingerlakessummit@impellent.vc

Spouses / +1’s

While +1s are welcome to stay in your room and use the property, they are not allowed at any summit programming. We also do not have any programming for +1s during the course of the conference.

Pet Policy

While the hotel is dog-friendly, pups are only allowed on certain floors and rooms. As such, we can only allow 3 guests with pets. If your furry friend will be joining us, please reach out asap. There is a fee of $75 per stay with an additional $25 cleaning fee per day charged directly from the hotel.

Smoking policy

There is no smoking permitted on the property.

What happens if we want to change our activity or transport

Are there other guests at the hotel

No, we have bought out the Lake House Hotel. That being said, there may be other guests using the restaurant facilities when we are not using them.

How do I get between Hotel Canandaigua and the Lake House

If you are staying at the Hotel Canandaigua, you will be sent a separate message. The two hotels are a 3 min drive or 15 min walk along the lake apart from each other. If you are at Hotel Canandaigua, you can call one of the driver’s phone numbers of the lake house transport desk and they can pick you up or drop you off. If you are at the lake house, simply stop by the transportation desk in the lobby and ask for a ride. Driver numbers: SUV 585 430 0086, Transit Van 585 364 9833. In case they don’t pick up, call the hotel at 585 394 7800

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel within 30 days of the event (after May 2nd), you will be responsible for the nonrefundable costs related to room, food and event costs of $2,500.

What to pack

• Weather: Sunday 46-58 degrees, Monday 54-72, Tuesday 63-85 degrees, Wednesday 67-90 degrees. Bring layers as it is hot during the day and cold at night on the water

• Themed attire: We welcome you to dress up for our two themed evenings. It is optional but many people do dress up. We’ll have extra props around to provide you if you don’t bring anything

  • Monday June 2nd evening: Roaring 20s Lawn Party - Wear can wear ivory, green, black, white. Think pearls, feathers, flapper outfits, black and white stripes, 20s hats, suspenders

  • Tuesday June 3rd evening: A Night in Bavaria (aka Oktoberfest) - Blue and white checkers or stripes like the Bavarian flag, brown, white. Think things you’d wear to a Biergarten. If you own a Dirndl or lederhosen, you are welcome to wear it

• Upscale casual wear for daytime activities (the weather will be hot during the day so feel free to wear short sleeve shirts, shorts and dresses)

• Exercise clothes and sneakers if you are signed up for the hike or biking

• Swimsuit and flip flops if you want to use the pool or hot tub before or after the event (there is no time during the conference to do so)

• Sunglasses (you will need this every day)

• Hat (we will be outside during the day)

• Walking shoes (most of the property has grass)

• Toiletries

• Chargers

• If women are looking to bring heels, we’d suggest wedges or boots as there is a lot of grass

Spa appointments

The spa will be open throughout our stay. Please contact the Willowbrook Spa at the Hotel in advance to make your appointment. We recommend the outdoor barrel sauna for a truly unique experience. (585.394.9479, spareservations@lakehousecdga.com)
