  • Co-founded first company at the age of 19 and took it public at 23

  • Part of the entrepreneurship and innovation faculty at MIT Sloan since 2005 where I teach “Scaling new ventures to $100MM+” and “Disruptive technologies and new business platforms”. Students from my class have started multiple unicorns including Hubspot and Bitsight

  • Founding Global President of an entrepreneurship and leadership support group which we’ve grown from 100 people in Boston to 10,000+ entrepreneurs and leaders in 15 cities around the world

  • First non-Japanese CTO and Global head of innovation for NTT Data, the 5th largest IT services company in the world with $20B in revenue in 45+ countries

  • Have been elected to the board of directors of 2 of the largest energy and manufacturing conglomerates in South Asia and served as chair of the compensation committee. Also, serve on the Board of the largest mapping and navigation company in Europe (Here)

Failures
  • Suck at corporate politics in the C-suite

  • Missed IPO by 6 months when the markets crashed in 2001

  • Underestimating what it takes to scale a non-profit, especially in multiple countries

 

Hobbies

Luxury travel to 55 countries, Global spas, Instagrammable cafes, Alternative medicine and healing foods, Best ice creams around the world, Perfecting my Boston accent, Supercars
