Zach Barasz
G2 Venture Partners, Partner
Career Highlights
At G2, leading growth investments in awesome companies like Locus Robotics and Motive
At BMW, backing Xometry at Series B and seeing its path to IPO
At KP, driving our investment in Turo (despite internal headwinds)
Failures
One particular investment that I knew at the time was FOMO driven, not fundamentals driven, and no matter the return we earn in the end it will have been a huge failure.
current focus
Growth stage investing in tech companies at their inflection points will help build a more sustainable global economy. More specifically: Series B and later, $15-50m investments in companies that are, in some way, making industries like Manufacturing, Transportation, Agriculture, Supply Chain/Logistics, eCommerce, and Energy more sustainable and resource-efficient, decoupling economic growth from resource consumption.
Hobbies
Golf, Legos with my kids, Wine, Boating/time on the water
